Preferred Provider designation is a clear indication of how passionate we are to serve our dear patients and community with the latest treatment techniques like Invisalign®. As we have been one of the pioneers of Invisalign® practices, we deliver high standard of oral care to match our patients’ expectations.

Do you dream about a perfect set of teeth but cannot imagine carrying metal braces? Invisalign is godsent for you!

While opting for orthodontic treatment, everyone dislikes how the metal braces look on them. Invisalign makes it possible to get the smile you want without having to go through the hassle of carrying metal braces. We provide Invisalign to get your dream smile at Middletown Dental Care.

Invisalign is a treatment that uses transparent aligners to give you an appealing smile without any major discomfort. It works differently from that of braces moving the teeth little by little as the clear trays are changed every alternate week. It is simple to use and can be safely removed and cleaned when in need.

Traditional metal braces are attached to the teeth. They can be cumbersome to maintain and may not be for everyone. Not to mention the pain of keeping them clean to save the teeth from cavities and decalcification. For this reason, Invisalign is theultimate alternative to braces.

You can now straighten your crooked teeth without wearing braces that give you painful ulcers every now and then. So, gobble up your popcorn while watching your favorite Netflix series. Invisalign aligners are removed when you eat. No metal wires to poke your cheeks or hinder your chewing or your show. Devour your favorite snack and snap that back on. As easy as that.

ADVANTAGES OF INVISALIGN

Invisalign is composed of high-quality BPA-free transparent plastic that looks better. So you will not hesitate to be in public.

No restricted diet, unlike the traditional metal braces.

Minimal discomfort and pain as the treatment are more gentle without any frequent tightening of wires.

Easy to keep up with your oral hygiene because there are no wires and brackets to bother about while brushing.

The chances of developing an ulcer are minimal to zero as there are no metal wires to poke the inner part of your cheeks.

If you have any events that you cannot miss attending, Invisalign offers you the flexibility to not wear them.

If you have any events that you cannot miss attending, Invisalign offers you the flexibility to not wear them.

The odds of getting new cavities are minimal as the food rarely gets stuck inside the aligners.

INVISALIGN FOR TEENS

Teenagers are more conscious and less confident if they wear metal braces. Dr. Amit Patel now offers Invisalign® Teen specifically designed for teenagers. Now your teenager can straighten their crooked teeth with these see-through aligners without being a hurdle in their active teen life.

These Invisalign® Teen trays are customomized systems that are meant to address the alterations in the teeth alignements of teenagers. Regular consultation with our Orthodontist is needed to keep up with their developing dental structures. Our experienced orthodontists bring about the necessary changes according to the desired needs while ensuring that the treatment is progressing as planned.

The teenagers now prefer Invisalign as they are transparent and give them the choice of removing them when they are eating their food, having fun with their friends, or during sports.

TEETH ALIGNMENT PROBLEMS THAT CAN BE FIXED WITH INVISALIGN

Invisalign works similarly to metal braces and can be utilized to rectify mild tooth malpositions like:

Overcrowding of teeth: Crowding is when there is very little space in the mouth for all the teeth to fit in. This congestion can harbor plaque easily and increase the probability of gum illness.

Gaps in between Teeth occur when spaces between your teeth are present. These spaces compromise your esthetic smile and allow food lodgement. They can be hereditary or due to a missing tooth or any abnormal growth of the jawbone.

Overbite occurs when the upper front teeth extend to cover up the teeth in the lower jaw. Overbite can occur due to heredity or any abnormality in the structure of the jaw or oral habits like overuse of pacifier, thumb sucking, excessive bottle feeding, etc. Eventually, they can give rise to pain in the jaw and TMJ.

Underbite is when the lower teeth almost cover the upper teeth when you bite. As time passes, an underbite can also cause difficulty in chewing, jaw pain, and TMJ complications if not treated.

Cross-bite is more common and occurs when one or more teeth in the upper arch go inside the teeth on the lower arch when you bite. This can happen on one side or both sides. Crossbites can be acquired genetically or due to any oral habits in childhood.

Open bite happens when the upper and the lower teeth fail to come together as required when you bite. They can occur due to genetic factors like irregular jaw growth or childhood habits like thumb-sucking, lip-sucking, and tongue-thrusting. An open bite may result in difficulty in chewing your food and give rise to TMJ issues.

You should consult our Orthodontist expert at Middletown Dental Care to have a treatment plan that suits you the best. After studying your mouth, our doctor may prescribe a treatment plan other than Invisalign that brings the desired outcome for you as per the case complexity.

What To Expect InInvisalign Treatment

1.      If you are looking forward to going ahead with your Invisalign treatment, you must first schedule an appointment with us.

2.      After understanding your medical history, the doctor will perform a thorough mouth examination to discuss your cosmetic and functional needs.

3.       Once finalized, a three-dimesnional image of your upper and lower jaw will be taken. Based on these images, the best Invisalign treatment plan suitable for your dental needs will be suggested by our experienced specialist.

4.      A custom set of aligners individually made for you is given every two weeks with a timeline for switching them for a new one. Each tray will be different from the previous one.

5.      You will wear these custom trays for 20 to22 hours every day.

6.      This process is repeated every two weeks until your dream smile is obtained.

7.      Photographs and x-rays are taken to guarantee the treatment is progressing as per the plan.

8.      Also, the photographs help you to visualize the treatment outcome.

9.      You can remove the trays when you eat and drink or when you have to attend an important event like a party or an interview.

TREATMENT SPAN

Ideally, you will wear your Invisalign trays for 20-22 hours. If you fail, it will directly reflect on the duration of your treatment. Be self-disciplined enough to snap them back after you remove them. Patients may be advised to visit us for checkups anywhere from 2 to 6 weeks or according to the treatment plan.

The duration of the treatment will depend upon factors like the movement of the teeth and staying consistent with the appointments and treatment plan. If you break the track, we may have to take a new impression and start from where you left off. This can increase the duration of the treatment.

The treatment period varies with every case. For adults, the treatment may last almost a year. For teenagers, the treatment period will be similar to that taken by metal braces.

COST OF INVISALIGN TREATMENT

The usual Invisalign cost is inclusive of the cost and number of aligner trays used for the treatment. The total number of aligners relies upon the case complexity of an individual. On average, each arch requires 20 to 29 sets of trays.

The cost of the Invisalign treatment is more than that of the traditional metal braces, as they are more aesthetically appealing and are removable for your convenience.

Also, other factors might cost you extra that depend upon individual cases like the teeth position, location, orthodontic protection scope, and additional appliances if any, decided by your dental specialist or orthodontist at the time of the treatment.

If you are looking for this treatment, you can consult us at Middletown Dental Care to get a price estimate after we check your case.
